Which vulnerabilities are covered by Acunetix Web Scanner? Where do I find the list of vulnerabilities covered? How it works in conjunction to OWASP Top 10 and PCI. Thanks.

Does v9 allow user to make changes to the directories setting of files location? eg. C:\Acunetix\Template to D:\Acunetix\Template

Acunetix v8 do not allow this changes to be make.

    Thank you.

How do we upgrade from V8 to V9? When I click on Program Updates to check for newer versions and updates, I get indicator that we have the latest build (Version 8 Build 20130626 according to Version Information).

We are relatively new to using Accunetix and this would be our first version upgrade. I do not see this topic covered in the user manual.

    Thanks!

    • Hi,

The build that you are using the latest build of version 8. Version 9, being a new build, will not be auto-detected by the update mechanism of version 89. You will need to download the new version, and install this separately. You can also install both versions on the same machine, and run them side by side.

Check the Upgrading section in the user manual (Pg 27). The user manual can be downloaded from //www.acunetix.com/support.

You should have received an email from our sales team with information on how to get the new version and how to upgrade. This was sent to all Acunetix customers on the day of the release of version 9. If you did not receive this, please contact our sales team.

      Thank you

      Nick

    • Hi Jayesh,

Acunetix version 8 does support scanning mobile web applications, however scanning of mobile web apps has been greatly improved with the introduction of DeepScan in version 9.
