Nick Galea to serve as CEO for Acunetix
09 September 2005 - Acunetix, a start-up company providing web application security software, today announced Nick Galea as the company's chief executive officer.
Nick Galea will move over from GFI, where he was CEO since 1992. Under his direction, GFI grew to become a leading player in the security market - with hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide, offices in 8 countries and more than 200 employees.
"Web application security should be a company's number one security concern. Web application hacking is on the rise and the only way to combat it is to scan the website for vulnerabilities. This presents a tremendous opportunity for Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner," said Nick Galea.
Nick Galea graduated with a Bachelors degree in Management in The Hague and attained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bradford. He brings to Acunetix over 13 years experience in building and leading enterprise product development teams, and selling network infrastructure software. Nick Galea is also the CEO and founder of 2X - a company which develops software for the thin client computing market. (www.2x.com)
