Acunetix is used in a complementary way with other Web Scanners to achieve the best vulnerability detection coverage possible,” Nicolas Pougetoux, Manager of the Audit Department, Lexsi.

As Europe’s largest independent CERT, Lexsi enjoys a leadership position in the realm of threat intelligence, backed with 15 years of experience, 200 employees and more than 500 active customers, their experience in the cybersecurity space is unmatched in Europe.

Lexsi defends the critical assets of its customers against cyber threats. It builds on the expertise of the best cyber security specialists to anticipate and retaliate risks. Lexsi’s portfolio is made of premium services – notably audit, consulting and incident response – and a suite of security products. Acunetix is one of the software applications delivered through their SaaS platform: a front-end wherein Lexsi’s analysts deliver all their know-how and science. As a whole, Lexsi’s services and products are articulated around a structured approach of security: anticipate & retaliate.

Support of existing technologies

With customers using an array of web technologies and webservers, including IIS and Apache servers running both PHP and ASP.NET platforms with HTML5, SOAP, REST and JavaScript in place, Lexsi needed a scanner which suited all the technologies their customers rely on. Acunetix is well known for its ability to crawl all of these technologies, including the facility to crawl single page applications, detecting a wide range of vulnerabilities.

Competitively priced, easy to use and well supported

Lexsi also use HP WebInspect and IBM AppScan in conjunction with Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner. When compared with WebInspect and AppScan, Lexsi found Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner (WVS) to be lighter and quicker to use. The vulnerability detection ratio comes very close to that of HP WebInspect but at a fraction of the price. Lexsi also found Acunetix WVS to be easy to install and configure.

Auditing the security of applications

With thousands of audits to their credit, Lexsi’s specialists provide customers with a clear and detailed diagnosis of the security of their information system and processes. To aid in their auditing service to clients, Lexsi makes use of the OWASP Top 10 Vulnerabilities Reports available within Acunetix, for quick reference to the most critical vulnerabilities found. This is one of the many compliance reporting features available within Acunetix.
