How do I update to the latest Acunetix build?
Acunetix is frequently updated with new features, security checks, and improvements. So, all users can scan their websites for the latest threats to the security of their website applications.
Acunetix, by default, automatically checks for updates. According to your preference, it notifies you of the new update or installs updates in the background.

Configuring Acunetix for update
There are three options to update Acunetix:
Options | Description |
Download and install updates automatically | Acunetix downloads and installs updates automatically. If selected, Acunetix updates the build and informs you of the update. |
Notify me of new product updates | Acunetix notifies you of new product updates. If selected, you need to instruct Acunetix to update itself. |
Do not automatically check for updates [Not Recommended] | Acunetix does not check updates automatically. To check, you need to select the Check For Updates button on the About page. |
How to configure updates
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select About.
- From the Update Policy drop-down, select an option and Save.
How to update Acunetix manually
You can update Acunetix manually. When you log in to Acunetix, it informs you that there is a new update.
How to update Acunetix manually
- Select the notification icon () to check the updates.
- Select Update.
- Acunetix informs you that it is updating. Wait for some time, so Acunetix can update the build in the background.
Tips Close the Acunetix tab and re-launch Acunetix, so the update can take effect. |
How to check updates manually
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select About.
- From the About page, select Check For Updates.
- The New build available information appears if there is any new update.
- To update the latest build, if any, select Update. For further information, see How to update Acunetix manually.
Who is eligible for build upgrades?
