Changing password

You can change your password in your Acunetix account. You can change your password when you want to. Or, the administrator can configure the setting that forces you to change your password.

Information

Your new password requires a minimum of 8 characters, containing at least 3 of the following: 1 number, 1 small letter, 1 capital letter, and 1 special character e.g. !@#$%

How to change your password
  1. Log in to Acunetix.
  2. From the main dashboard, select [Your Name] (top right of the page).
  3. Select Profile.

  1. Select Change Password.
  2. On the Change Password page, enter your current password.

  1. Into the New Password field, enter your new password.
  2. Into the Confirm Password field, re-enter your new password.
  3. Select Appy Changes.

Configuring password settings

The administrator can configure the password settings that force users to change their password in certain periods. The admin can also configure the setting to let users use their previous passwords.

Tips

Only the System Admins can change this setting.

Description

Password history

Number of unique new passwords before an old password can be reused. 0 to disable

Password Max age (days)

Number of days that a password can be used before the user is requested to change it. 0 to disable

How to configure the password settings
  1. Log in to Acunetix.
  2. From the main menu, select Users > Account Settings.

  1. On the Password Settings page, enter a number in the Password History field, if necessary.
  2. Into the Password Max age (days) field, enter a number, if necessary.
  3. Select Save.
