Logging in to Acunetix
You can log in to Acunetix via the sign-in page. The Acunetix team provides you with the URL to log in to Acunetix. From this page, you can also reset your password.
How to log in to Acunetix
- Navigate to Acunetix.
- In the Email field, enter your email address.
- In the Password field, enter your password.
- Select Keep me signed in, if required.
- Select Login.
How to reset your password
- Navigate to Acunetix.
- Select Forgot your password?
- In the Email field, enter your email address.
- Select Reset Password.
Acunetix sends the required instructions to your email address.
Configuring a user session and lockout settings
The system administrator can configure a user session on the Account Settings page. For example, the admin can determine when a user session expires, how many times a user can try to log in before being locked out, etc.
Field | Description |
Session Timeout (minutes) | This determines when a user session expires. When configured, Acunetix required users to log in to the application again. The default setting is 0. Enter 0 to disable any session timeout. |
Maximum Consecutive Login Failures | This determines how many times users can fail to log in to Acunetix. After the specified login failures, the user is locked out. The default setting is 0. Enter 0 to disable this setting. |
Time window (minutes) | This determines the period in which the login failures need to happen. The default setting is 60 minutes. Enter 0 to disable. |
Lockout time (minutes) | This determines how many minutes need to pass for a user to try the login again. The default setting is 30 minutes. During the specified period, the user remains locked. Enter 0 to disable. |
How to configure the session timeout
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select Users > Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the Session and Lockout Settings.
- Into the Session Timeout (minutes) field, enter a number.
- Select Save.
How to configure the maximum consecutive login failures
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select Users > Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the Session and Lockout Settings.
- Into the Maximum Consecutive Login Failures field, enter a number.
- Select Save.
How to configure the time window
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select Users > Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the Session and Lockout Settings.
- Into the Time window (minutes) field, enter a number.
- Select Save.
How to configure the lockout time
- Log in to Acunetix.
- From the main menu, select Users > Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the Session and Lockout Settings.
- Into the Lockout time (minutes) field, enter a number.
- Select Save.
