Invicti helps Digicure cure web vulnerabilities

A strong and comprehensive web vulnerability scanner that can be used to discover flaws in our customers’ web applications as well as first class support from Invicti.

Digicure is a PCI Authorized Scanning Vendor which was established in 2002 in Denmark.  With more than 7 years experience and over 800 customers, Digicure personnel know a thing or two about web application security.  Digicure does unbiased analyses of different systems with the purpose of determining the security level of the tested system.  This includes test of web applications, performance monitoring of websites and also quarterly PCI vulnerability scans of their customers’ web applications.

The need for a PCI web vulnerability scanner and much more

Apart from being forced to secure their web applications because of compliance regulations, online businesses are now concentrating more than ever before on securing their web applications.  This awareness is increasing because businesses are now aware of the excessive financial losses they might suffer if one of their web applications is compromised.  Apart from that, such web application attacks will always tamper the relationship between the business and its customers, and can sometimes lead to business closure.  With the increase in demand of securing business’s websites and web applications, and with a good number of new clients every month, Digicure needed tools to help them automate the audit process of their customers’ web applications.

The requirements

• An automated scanner that can scan almost every web technology and framework available on the market, such as php, asp, .NET, java etc
• Ability to scan Web 2.0 web applications
• A number of advanced penetration testing tools
• Generate PCI DSS and other regulatory compliance reports
• Professional technical product support

The solution

“The first web vulnerability scanner that we used was Invicti WVS. We have tested several different security products that can be used for web application security since, like Qualys Web Application Scanner, Skipfish and also other tools. There might be useful features in some of these web security products, but overall we think that Invicti WVS provide us with the best choice.” Said  Jesper Helbrandt at Digicure.

A proper web security audit is a mixture of automated and manual tests; Invicti provides a comprehensive tool for automated testing purposes and useful toolbox Digicure can use for manual penetration testing as well.  “The most impressive thing about Invicti web vulnerability scanner must be how comprehensive the application is. It contains countless features that can be used to discover different kinds of vulnerabilities.” stated Jesper Helbrandt at Digicure.  Also, what’s worse for a consultant than getting stuck at a client with non functioning tools?  “The support of Invicti WVS must also be praised. They have helped us solve many different issues over time and their responses have always been fast and clear. These are some of the main reasons, why we don’t even consider changing to another web security solution.” Concluded Mr Helbrandt.

About Invicti Web Vulnerability Scanner

Invicti Web Vulnerability Scanner ensures website security by automatically checking for SQL injection, Cross site scripting and other vulnerabilities. Furthermore, Invicti protects against the embedding of Javascript malware in a web-page through its JavaScript Analyzer. Such protection secures all AJAX applications. Invicti WVS also checks password strength on authentication pages and automatically audits shopping carts, forms, dynamic content and other web applications. As the scan is being completed, the software produces detailed reports that pinpoint where vulnerabilities exist.
