Updating the status of an issue in Acunetix 360

You can update the status of any issues in Acunetix 360. You can change the status one by one and in bulk. Once you fix an issue and update its status to Fixed (Unconfirmed), the Acunetix 360 scanner automatically checks the fix. If the fix works as intended, the issue will be marked as Fixed. If not, it will be assigned back to the Assignee. For more information, refer to Managing Issues.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for updating that status of issues individually and updating multiple issues as a bulk action.

How to update the status of an issue

Once you fix a vulnerability, change the state of the issue pertaining to that vulnerability.

  1. Select Issues > To Do from the left-side menu. The Issues page will display the issues that have been assigned to you. Alternatively, select Issues > All Issues to display all issues on your account.
  2. On the Issues page, click the title of the issue you want to update. The Issue Details page will open.

  1. In the Update panel, select the relevant State:
  • Accepted Risk to mark the issue as OK.
  • False Positive to mark the issue as a false positive result.
  • Fixed (Unconfirmed) to prompt Acunetix 360 to automatically check the fix. If the fix works as intended, the issue will be marked as Fixed. If not, the issue will be assigned back to the Assignee.
  1. Click Save.

If you selected Fixed (Unconfirmed), the issue will now be listed under Issues > Waiting for Retest.

How to update the status of issues in bulk

  1. Select Issues > To Do from the left-side menu. The Issues page will display the issues that have been assigned to you. Alternatively, select Issues > All Issues to display all issues on your account.
  2. On the Issues page, select the checkbox next to each issue you want to update.
  3. Click Edit.

  1. Use the State drop-down to select a new state that will be applied to all the issues you selected.
  • Optionally, change the Assignee and add a Note if required.

NOTE: If you update non-retestable issues with the Fixed (Unconfirmed) state, Acunetix 360 will not update those issues because non-retestable issues cannot be retested.
Non-retestable issues can be updated to
Fixed (Can't Retest) so that Acunetix 360 does not scan them during incremental scanning, but they will be scanned during the next full scan.

  1. Click Update All.

Your changes are now applied to all the issues you selected.
